Best Laptop Reviews
Technology is developing at the speed of light these days and laptops are becoming more powerful than ever. This is great news for us consumers as it means we can now get a mighty powerful device without paying a huge price tag.
Laptops used to be a luxury only for those who had large amounts of money to spend, but nowadays they are a common fixture in any household. Even those who need to be tight with their budgets are now able to afford one of these machines without having to bruise their savings.
If you’re looking for a bargain deal on a laptop, keep reading to discover two of most popular laptops of 2011 in terms of value for money and performance. These two laptops have been very popular with consumers because of the powerful capabilities they offer for such a modest price…
1.The Samsung NP-N145
The Samsung NP-N145 is an excellent choice for anybody who wants a nice and compact netbook, or someone who doesn’t have the money to spend on a tablet.
Despite being just 10.1 inches, the N145 manages to pack in a dual-core (Intel Atom N450) processor. You also get the advantage of Windows 7, an SD card slot and 1GB of RAM to back you up.
Netbooks often have a cheap and flimsy feel to them – but not this one. Unlike most other netbooks, Samsung steered away from having a glossy finish, meaning you don’t have to worry about messy fingerprints. Another design plus is that the battery doesn’t prop up at the back, meaning the device gets better ventilation on the underside.
Although the resolution is quite small with a 10.1 inch screen, if you want a netbook capable of streaming videos, editing blog posts and browsing the web without difficulty, the Samsung NP-N145 is absolute steel at around £200-250.
2.Acer Aspire 5742z
With a mid-range price of around £350, nothing groundbreaking is to be expected from the Acer Aspire 5742z. However, with a Pentium P6200 processor backed up with a massive 6GB of RAM, you get much more than you would usually get from a laptop in this price range.
With a large 15.6” screen, this laptop is ideal for watching films, and the colours are great. VGA and HDMi ports can be found on the device, so there are plenty of connectivity options available if you want to hook up the machine to your Television set.
As well as the impressive performance, the 5742Z is also popular because of its build. At 2.3kg it is very lightweight and suits commuters perfectly. The machine has a strong, sturdy lid which protects the screen from any knocks.
An all round steady performer, you can’t get much better for the price.
