Diesel car in India: Nissan Sunny launching soon
After the launch of Nissan Sunny petrol Variant in Mumbai on Tuesday, Nissan cars India is all set to reveal the diesel variant of Sunny sedan in Indian auto market. According to Mr. Gilles Normand, (corporate vice-president at Nissan for Africa, Middle East and India) that they are in talk with the officials to pull forward the launch of diesel variant in India. The volatile petrol prices and high lending interest rates, made the decision in the favor of diesel car in India. Nissan diesel variant will be launch in the end of fiscal year. Nissan Sunny price in India for diesel variant is yet to be announced.
Nissan Sunny Diesel features is speculated to come with an integration of 1.5 Litre diesel engine which delivers a maximum power of 97 Bhp and 134 Nm torque on wheels. The engine of Sunny Sedan would feature a 5-speed gearbox with manual transmission, 16 valves and 4 cylinders. Nissan Sunny will offer a mileage of 13 Kmpl in city whereas 16.95 Kmpl on highway. Nissan Sunny will be equipped with various safety features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) which offers power braking and avoid skidding, EBD, central locking etc. The new Nissan XE Petrol variant of Sunny is equipped with only driver side airbag whereas the XL and XV variants of Nissan Sunny is fitted with two airbag’s, both for passenger and driver. The Nissan Sunny XV is also adorned with features of keyless entry and push button start.
Nissan Sunny specifications show that it will be a five seater car with an ample space for legroom and headroom and adorned a huge boot space. It would come with powerful steering which offers an excellent handling and grip on the roads. The sedan might be well supportive of a good quality CD/ Mp3/ Radio Audio system for music lovers. Nissan Sunny will compete with the likes of Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Suzuki SX4, Hyundai Verna, Tata Indigo Manza and new Ford Fiesta.
