The different transmissions available with this model are six-speed manual and six speed sequential-shift automatic. The shift feel of the manual transmission has been improved. For every shift in the sequential-shift automatic transmission you change two gears.
The ride height for the new Scion tC is lower when compared to the previous models.You are provided with MacPherson struts for the front suspension and a double wishbone for the back suspension. The rim for each wheel is made of aluminum-alloy and has a diameter of eighteen inches. Toyota has also increased the size of the brakes.
The new Scion tC has an improved electronic power steering. A three-spoke steering wheel is provided. You can find buttons on the steering wheel that enables you to control the audio system and that too without removing your hand from the wheel.
Toyota has done some modification to the interior as well. It has the cockpit not only with more room, but also new sport bucket seats. The instrument cluster has also been redesigned. A panoramic moonroof is present. The audio system has eight speakers and has the capacity to play radio channels like FM and AM along with the ability to play music stored in devices like CDs and USB. It also has an increased storage capacity.
As far as the safety is concerned, the car has many features including Vehicle Stability Control, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Anti-lock Brakes, and Brake Assist. It also has eight airbags.
