SEO Service – Why Should You Consider It?
You have a business. You are working hard at it (and hopefully doing very well too). You are not only running your business, but you are also the accountant, the marketer, the IT guy, the gopher… let’s face it, running a business is no easy thing as you have to multi-task yourself in order to get everything that needs to be done, done. For any successful business, you really need some form of web presence for people to find you. Getting a web site is one thing, but marketing it is another. This is where an SEO service comes in to help you.
I’ve already highlighted a few of the million and one things that you do as a business owner, and this means there is simply no time to sit down, work out and formulate some sort of marketing plan for your site. An SEO service will take this burden from you and create a campaign that will bring you customers while you do the million other things you need to do.
An SEO service will look at your business and adjust (or create) a website that is targeted to your audience. It will make recommendations, and present you with various options that will suit both yourself and your business.
Once you have chosen your campaign plan, simply sit back and allow the SEO experts to do their thing and put your site at the top of the rankings where it belongs.
The business you get from a well placed web site will more than pay for the outlay in employing an SEO service, and you may also need to do away with your Yellow Pages ad as well, because more and more people are moving away from the good old YP and doing their searches on google. Especially locally.
So don’t waste anymore time and allow your site to stagnate, give it to an SEO service to optimize and get it working for you.
2 Considerations When Considering an SEO Company
When looking to hire an SEO company to help get more traffic to your website take the following 2 things into consideration to ensure you’re working with a qualified company.
1) Experience – While interviewing any SEO company make sure and determine how much experience the firm has. Are you their first customer or do they have references from a track record of success that they can share with you? This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t hire a firm with less experience than another, but make sure you’re paying appropriately and that the firm you’re hiring takes the 2 considerations below in mind.
2) Method – This is probably the most important factor to consider in determining the SEO company you’d like to invest your money and reputation with. Since Google and other search engines are cracking down more and more and even banning websites from their index for violation of their webmaster guidelines, you want to make sure the methods chosen by the company you hire do not violate these guidelines. Things to look for are:
– Reciprocal linking – you do NOT want to engage in any reciprocal linking. This is one the biggest wastes of time and money when it comes to search engine optimization. Time and money can be much better spent even if webmaster guidelines aren’t violated by this practice.
– Paid Linking – You also want to make sure that the seo company is NOT purchasing paid links on your companies behalf as this is a sure way to obtain a permanent ban from the Google index and is very easy to detect.
– Link Networks/Bad Neighborhoods – You want to make sure that any website that will host a link to your website is NOT known to be a “bad neighborhood” or a link network. These are also easy to detect and can result in a ban from the Google index.
