From ‘Think Small’ to ‘Think Blue’, the exciting new Volkswagen slogan has evolved and is reminiscent of a new advertising campaign for the German manufacturer on UK daily television. The new commercial highlights and points out VW’s dedication to lowering emissions and a ‘better future’ with the introduction of their more energy efficient ‘Bluemotion’ technology mainly within the new golf in kent, and the new Volkswagen Polo.

The advert is clearly to point out that we need to be more vigilant when it comes to lowering our everyday carbon footprint and that a world-wide initiative is needed in order to make a true impact.

‘Think Blue. Symphony’ is the slogan name of the advert that has recently been shown on live television from Sunday 9th October and will run throughout the following 6 weeks. The advert reminisces from the sixties to the present day and highlights golden moments in VW’s history such as the introduction of the iconic VW Beetle and Camper van from 1959, the invention of the TSI engine in 1993, through to the new Lupo and Golf boasting the highest fuel efficiency across the entire VW range today.

Choosing the iconic 1966 Beatle’s track such as ‘Wouldn’t it be nice’ plays alongside the one minute clip featuring someone sketching out and colouring in drawings of cars, a planet, and of course the musical notes. The cheerful tune and catchy commercial draw out a musical sheet and literally colour in drawings taking you through a step by step guide on how Volkswagen have taken this issue and are evolving it.

Promoting the issues of green technology, saving the planet and energy efficiency, Volkswagen highlight the key point that everyone needs to make a small change in order to make a big difference to our futures.
