How important is the project manager education?
In order to become project manager you need to have certain skills and abilities. Many people want to have the job of the PM because it looks cool and well paid job, but the reality is a little bit different. Not everybody is able to handle the PM responsibilities.
If you want to be a successful project manager you need to have mixture of three things in yourself – certain skills, abilities and suitable experience. If you grow up in a business family, you will probably have the skills that the PM job requires and you will have the experience that you need to have. – negotiation – the ability to negotiate is really important for the project manager. About 30% of the PM work is about negotiating.
Negotiating the terms of the contracts, the price of the products, the salary of the employees and so on. The negotiation skill is skill that can be learned and the best place for doing that is at a project manager education course.
After finishing the project manager education, you will have the skills that you need and you will have a certain experience. From this education, you will have to make many decisions and you will feel the stress that will land on your shoulders.
