World of Warcraft stole my life!

This is not something I’m proud of but I did play  World of Warcraft for about 3 years, and I can quite safely say, it is the most addictive game I have ever played. Please note that I say the most ‘addictive game’, and not the ‘best’ game.  The reason I say this is because I would have to uninstall it from my computer and hide the disks during exam periods to ensure I did some revision and not just go do 400 more quests.  The worst bit is in the World of Warcraft community… I wasn’t even considered hardcore, and yet I would still cram in a few hours of game time…everyday…without fail. Whereas, there were A LOT of people who would be playing at least ten hours a day.

Now why was this? Why is it that World of Warcraft, above nearly every other game can completely drain your life away? Why does it have 12million subscribers paying six wow gold  pounds a month to play? Well, there isn’t one specific reason; it is a very well constructed game, which rewards players for spending large amounts of time on it.  The way it works is, play for twenty hours and complete tasks such as laborious farming (doing the same job over and over again, be it killing 100 wolves or doing the same quests everyday) and the game rewards you by giving you a flying dragon, which then other players will praise you over, giving you a sense of pride and accomplishment. This continues throughout the game, but once you reach the maximum level the pressure practically doubles, because now your level 85, and all that matters is what type of sword you have or helmet you wear; how do you get the best sword or helmet you may ask? Well, you have to buy wow gold spend 7 hours with 25 other people trying to kill an even bigger dragon than before…
