Nissan Sunny all set to rule sedan car segment in India
Nissan Sunny was launched in Indian auto segment on 20 September, 2011. The sedan car from the Japanese auto giant was codenamed L02B and based on the same Nissan Micra “V” platform. The sedan car is manufactured at its manufacturing unit placed in Chennai where Nissan Micra is also produced. The company only introduce the petrol version of Sunny in India and with the on going demand of diesel version cars in India, it is also expected that company will soon bring its diesel version sedan in the country. Nissan Sunny petrol is available in three different variants that are Nissan Sunny XE base variant, Nissan Sunny XL the mid variant and the top end variant Nissan Sunny XV. Nissan Sunny is powered by an 1.5 litre 4 cylinders and 16 valves petrol engine which is capable of generating a maximum power of 100 PS at 6000 RPM and a Peak torque of 134 Nm. The engine of the car is mated with a five speed manual gearbox which provides power to the wheels of car in every shift. With this power plant, the sedan car delivers an excellent fuel efficiency of 15 Kmpl in the city and 17 Kmpl on the highway. The car accelerates from zero to 100 in just 15.8 seconds and maintains a top speed of 175 Kmph.
The base variant of Nissan Sunny comes loaded with some standard features like body colored bumpers, roof antenna and tinted glasses. It also sports some advanced security ingredients like ABS (Anti locking braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution ) which provides an excellent braking option in the car and avoid skidding while driving on slippery roads. Along with standard features the mid variant Nissan Sunny XL also comes fitted with front passenger airbags to avoid damage during sudden jerk, door ajar warning and auto AC with filter. Electric ORVM, alloy wheels, intelligent key with push button ignition and stereo mounted controls are some of the advanced features included in the top end variant of the car that is Nissan Sunny XV.
