Desk Accessories – Buy yourself a Desk Tidy!
One of the most annoying things when you stroll through an office is a messy desk. I once heard an old boss say to a colleague that he would fire him if the company had a disciplinary procedure for messy desks.
Most companies do not encourage employees to keep a clean orderly desk. It really can increase productivity. I know you have heard all this before, but a nice desk tidy along with a couple of letter trays will go a long way to building a positive work ethic.
We’re not saying that you should buy crystal desk tidys, a really simple version will suffice – a simple plastic desk tidy with a number of compartments would be perfect. You know the little ones I mean!
The smallest desk organizer can house a multitude of products. You often find a few pence somewhere in the desk tidy, after that you will always find some random sized staples, in particular Rexel staples. These staples will often stab you as you reach for your rubber or pencil sharpener. Loose staples can be really annoying but extremely handy when the stapler runs dry.
There are lots of other accessories that will improve the comfort and tidiness of your desk. Take a desk mat for example. A desk mat will add an executive feel to your office desk. Although the more functional side of a desk mat cannot be underestimated. You can eliminate post-it notes and scribble pads as you have an inbuilt scribble sheet on your blotter. You see, it’s so easy to start tidying up your desk.
One last addition to any desk has to be a decent set of letter trays. Again they do not need to be anything fancy, although the mesh letter trays are often the most stylish, the plastic letter trays will do the job. They will assist in filing away the jobs the loose papers that clog up most desks.
