Website design mistakes common with most Doctors.

Too much information!
Most patients will not take the time to read long paragraphs about your office or your profession. Get to the point! Tell them what they need to know, make it easy for them to skim though and get out.

Using Bad Fonts
Believe it or not, fonts make a huge difference. Not taking enough time to know which fonts will actually work with your project will lead to terrible design.

Wanting Their Name or Logo Bigger
Your practice name is not going to sell your services. Prioritize the important information… and your name is not one of them!

Using Reverse Type On Your Website
Having a black background with white text on your website is going to give your reader a seizure. Although it will work in some cases it’s a very uncomfortable read which puts strain on the eyes – not something you want for your readers.

Wanting a Flash Intro On Their Website
This is a bad idea. Nobody wants to sit around and watch random images and shapes appearing and then disappearing. Your patients are there for a reason. They want quick answers to their questions.

Putting Music On Their Website
NO. NO. NO

Being Stingy On Images
Weird thing is that Doctors are happy with paying for design services and high printing costs, but for some reason, the thought of purchasing a stock photo is unheard of. Stop with the low resolution images of your friends kids and buy some high quality photos. It makes a big difference.

Not Booking Appointments Online
Make your website more functional by including Online Appointment Bookings. Your patients will love the convenience, your staff will love the time they save by avoiding telephone tag, and you will love the increase in appointments booked.
