Spiritual Connection With Nature Is Our Organic State

Religious connection with nature is among the most profound experiences we can have as human beings. Beyond the ordinary consciousness during which we live there is another religious dimension beyond the ordinary one which we know.

Indigenous societies had been highly connected to and in tune with these spiritual worlds. They all had elders and shaman’s whose main function was to become the connection between the physical reality of daily life and the spirit world on the other side.

Even though the times of living alongside the land and becoming at one with nature inside a tribal feeling have almost become non-existent, it’s nonetheless feasible for anybody to feel into this other realm using the correct training and amount of time.

Basically it is about spending time on your own by yourself in nature with out distractions for an extended period of time. The usual period of time it requires many people to feel in to the wonder and mystery of nature is about 3-4 days. This allows time and space for the constant chatter of the mind to normally slow down and then to naturally tap into an additional way of being.

Beyond our normal everyday life there is another view of life. A view of life full of symbols, creativeness, interpretation, desires, feeling of oneness, connection along with a language past phrases. In this view every thing is alive and has it’s personal spirit. The trees speak. The rivers communicate. The birds carry messages. The animals whisper truths. We can feel into the wonder and mystery of nature.

However, this religious connection is delicate. It is drowned out through the continuous chatter of the rational mind. The rational head is loud and seems to always be continually on. At the very moment we wake up (… ‘What will I’ve for breakfast?’) till we visit bed (… ‘It’s really late – I don’t wish to be exhausted tomorrow!’). This voice within our head is continually on and drowns out the subtle religious view beyond.

One easy exercise to quit this distracting voice within your head is to firstly become conscious of it. It could be saying right now ‘What small voice? I don’t have a small voice!’ Well, that is the little voice.

Just become aware of that little voice. Become aware of the tone. Be aware of the pace. Become aware of it’s tempo. Be aware of what it’s saying for you.

The next step is to, deal with the voice within your head like a little child and just say ‘Thank you for sharing.’
