The Process of Painting wood paneling

There is the most common problem in home wood paneling is painting wood paneling. Once a day, wooden paneling was repeatedly put up instead of drywall, as it was cheaper and easier.  Anyway, the problem with wood paneling is that it is dull, dark, old-fashioned, and hard to replace. People were used this solution as most of the people have not enough money to use drywall solutions as drywall was an expensive solutions. On the other side, if painting wood paneling is not properly done then it looks worst. Wood paneling can be painted. It can seem great and anyone can turn that dark paneling into bright within few hours. Nowadays, a solution is available that refers to some special preparations and steps before starting painting of wood paneling. Here are some things that requires for this task, which are Liquor deglosser, Oil-based Primer, Latex Eggshell, 3/8″ Nap Paint Roller, 2 inch Nylon-Poly Brush and tape.

Deglossing: Wooden paneling contains a natural gloss or shine.  The initial work is making sure that the paint will adhere to the surface is to remove the gloss. Liquid deglosser is an excellent product that can catch the painful muscles and dirt out of the equation.  After applying it, it removes the shine from wood and painted surfaces, permitting paint and primer to advanced adhere to the surface. With a cotton rag, use the deglosser lightly to the paneling surface in five-foot strips. Permit the deglosser to meet on the surface for the instructed amount of time. Now, work crossways the wall in section, first deglossing and second is priming the area that is deglossed.

Priming: Choose the correct primer for your task.  Oil based primer is perfect for wooden paneling. Oil based primes adhere better than other options and grant better stain-hiding coverage.  However, use the primer with a roller and brush.  Apply the brush for painting and prime into the channels of the paneling.

Painting the Paneling: In conclusion, apply the stain or eggshell complete over the dried primer.  Make confirm to allow primer enough time to dry prior to the beginning to pertain the paint. Cut in alongside the edges, and paneling’s grooves with a brush of 2 inch. After that, roll out the remains of the home wall through a 3/8″ nap roller. If required, permit the base coat for almost 7-8 hours to cure prior to the using a second coat. Once finished, remove the all tapes as early as possible.  If the paint has twisted a skin over the tape, use a knife along the tape edge for separating them.
