Ignou introduced a group of electronic-library

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced a series of e-library Services changing the existing services and explore other ways to support its system of distance education, for example by increasing the scope of available electronic resources, improve the methods search for information, which saves information retrieval and delivery, and a significant increase in the use of e-resources and download article for students and teachers.

“With the introduction of digital media and information systems in the virtual web,IGNOU Library System has been able to overcome the difficulties of access to library resources, the extent of student resume needs unreached and faculty remotely through a network of regional centers, “said Sudhir K. Arora, Librarian of the University.

In the past five years, the library’s collection of electronic resources has increased by more than 22,000 full-text electronic journals, databases and electronic books, all publishers in the world.

IGNOU campus users can access these electronic resources from any computer connected to the campus network.

Off campus users can use the service rate (remote access electronic resources) for that purpose. The service authenticates authorized users outside the range of IGNOU campus IP to connect to electronic library resources.
