What are Daylight Fluorescent pigments?

If we have solid solution which consists of one or higher number of dyes and then it is transformed into a transparent synthetic resin with very high molecular weight and later on added with free flowing powders of bright colors, then such pigments are known as Daylight fluorescent pigments. They look very bright in daylight and vigorously react under ultraviolet.

Uses of daylight fluorescent pigments

These daylight fluorescent pigments can be utilized in the form of conventional pigments & are obtainable in 2 ranges. The GP range is for any normal purpose requirement and PL Range is for plastic. As they have a common base, all the shades of similar range are known to be chemically equivalent. The products are used in Textile printing, paper coating, paints, printing inks, plastics, vinyl plastisol, organosol, rubber and stationery goods etc.

Advantages of daylight fluorescent pigments

Custom color does not absorb ultraviolet radiation to be used as the light-energy resource, so it becomes difficult for us to see the sign boards in the night. One of many advantages of using daylight fluorescent pigments is that it radiates a certain color more than any custom pigment does. It works as a glow in dark for traffic signs to guide us in the night.

The color range is:

  1. For Yellow: Radium Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Sunrise Yellow, Golden Yellow, Golden Yellow (S)
  2. For Orange: Sparking Orange (Y), Sparking Orange (R ), Red Orange
