Solid means rock hard, almost impossibly hard to chip, scratch or crack. You can get a good indication of just how solid a stone tile is when you pick it up. If you’re not confident the stones you’re looking at could do this, always asks the sales assistant to prove claims of strength & natural solidity. If there is absolutely no rigidity or you don’t get any sense whatsoever of frailty, and then chances are it’s a solid tile. A great way to test it if you could throw health & safety to the wind is to find the biggest hammer you can & drop it from about 10 feet high onto the tile. Of course, this is the infamous hammer test.
3. Absorption of Water:
