Getting on First Page of Google is not at all a Rocket Science
For any website, it is important to get on to the first page of Google to skyrocket your online business. There is a huge, really huge difference in the volume of visitors to a website which is on page1 of Google and page2. A website on the first page of Google will get more than 20 times of the traffic when compared with a website on second page of Google. So that tells the entire story.
It is a dream comes true for every website owner to see their website on first page of Google for their target keywords. Practically it’s not that easy for all. Here are some simple steps to get your website top of Google search results
1. SEO friendly web design.
2. Quality + Quantity of Link Building.
3. Social Media Optimization.
Let’s get the first foot right. SEO friendly web design is what I was saying about. Designing a SEO friendly website is not at all a rocket science. And most importantly you need not build a new website from scratch if your existing site is not SEO friendly. Basic thing you should follow in designing of site is W3C standards. Your website should be designed as per the W3C standards, to get browser compatibility and overall site usability. The W3C standard does not have a direct impact on Google rankings. However, it is still a common practice to make sure one’s pages are in alignment with W3C standards. In future, in an effort to judge site authority and quality, Google may just include W3C validity in their algorithm; you never know.
Next comes Link Building. Link Building is getting links to your website from different other websites, which in turn improves your rank in search engines. This can be accomplished by various methodologies like article submission, directory submission, blog commenting, social bookmarking and likes. Google’s algorithm calculates the quality and the quantity of backlinks for each and every website. Your search engine rankings will primarily be based on this calculation. So, just remember that it is the Quality of backlinks along with the Quantity that help you rank better in Search Engine like Google. Never try to get into the debate of quality vs. quantity, but just try to increase both.
The last one is Social Media Optimization. Businesses are one of the great benefactors of social media marketing. Social Media optimization is one of the popular way of promoting your product online and augmenting its traffic in just a matter of ample time. Twitter and Facebook are some of the social networking website that has the greatest population. Social Media Optimization is the process of increasing the awareness of a product, brand or event by using a number of social media outlets and communities to generate viral publicity. The Several methods available to achieve the Social Media Optimization are blogging, RSS feeds etc. Online communities such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are also used for Social Media Optimization process. The main intention of SMO is to increase traffic and to afford higher search engine rankings.
Let me come back to my first line. Yeah, getting on first page of Google is not at all a rocket science.
