“ANNUAL MULUND FESTIVAL” – A 3 day festive tribute to year end…
Charan Singh Sapra’s initiative to bring together all the people of Mulund for a common celebration gave birth to this mega event. Last year this event was attended with great enthusiasm & zest by not just Mulundites but also by rich, famous & significant like Mahima Chowdhary, Sonu Sood, Avika Gaur, Sukhwinder Singh, Anand Raj Anand, Abhishek Avasthi, Narayan Rane and many more. Not just them, children, men, women, elderly all came together irrespective of their religious or social backgrounds just to celebrate the spirit of Mulund.
This year also, the event extends number of contests & activities which anyone can be a part of. While Marathon, Singing & dancing have had huge responses last year, box cricket, ramp walk & royal enfield rally are the added attractions this time. The enfield rally has a theme which spreads awareness for a cause. “Beat for Beat” (Save the girl child) appeals to all proud enfield owners to come together with not just their beats but make a thump to save the heart beat of a female foetus. This rally will generate awareness about this menace which seems to be prevalent in rural & urban areas today.
Mulund Book of Records that was launched last year has unveiled some super record holders. This year they will be felicitated with not just pomp & show but love & respect amidst their own people. The Mulund book of records will continue to invite more national level record holding entries this year too. The event will culminate with a grand finale on Dec 25, 6:00 pm at the Nirmal Lifestyle amidst famous personalities like John Abraham, Jackie Shroff, Harbhajan Singh, Mahima Chowdhary, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Geeta Basra, Anu Malik, Madhur Bhandarkar who will be judging the contestants. A smashing performance by Bombay Vikings will be the highlight of the event amidst some performance by this year’s finalists. Exiting prizes will be given to the winners.
