The ideal PSAT and SAT Scores For Having College Scholarships
A number of colleges will provide full scholarships for perfect PSAT scores. A few will supply a smaller amount of money for a perfect PSAT score. Some colleges do not grant merit aid based on test scores whatsoever. It differs among colleges.
A perfect score on the PSAT will mean the student will at least end up being a “National Merit Commended” scholar. Children do not need to be PERFECT in order to be commended. You might have better results with financial aid if you decide on another college that has several opportunities for merit scholarships – something that does not require perfection. I would try to find other colleges that offer scholarships for other test scores. Don’t invest a great deal of time in investigating a college that will ONLY give merit aid to near perfect PSAT. Take a look at schools that provide scholarships based on other variables as well, and possibly give more than the usual merit scholarships to a near perfect PSAT.
