They are similar to a static wagon, but built on light- truck chassis that provide amble room, and can handle adverse driving conditions and surfaces and are the perfect vehicle for the busy family on the go.
SUVs are simply able to maintain over roads that other motor vehicles can’t, making them hardy and great travel companions. It is usually equipped with four wheel drive to be used an off road vehicle. They are also capable of driving on sand having the extra space makes the journey a pleasure and also incredibly comfortable for long trips. Most SUVs now will seat between 7 to 9 passengers this is part of the attraction of these high occupancy vehicles and now even having special modifications to allow for each passenger to have their own source of entertainment as well such as LCD televisions in headrest, independent radio controls with headphone jacks, and individual climate control features. SUVs typically weigh more and ride higher than cars it is advantage because this offers more protection in a crash and it also had a disadvantage that is the higher center of gravity causes the vehicle to roll onto its roof more easily.
Given the rise in popularity, today there are a number of SUVs available in the market from popular brands namely; Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, Nissan, Dodge and more. Due to the innumerable options available in the market today, choosing an SUV has become a tiresome task. Never before did the Indian consumer have so many options as far as SUVs were concerned. A year before that, in 2007, 3.5 Lakh SUVs were sold in India. That was indeed astounding and the SUV market has only grown since then.
