Create Healthy Bread Using A Bread Machine

Multi-Seed Whole Wheat Bread

Start by soaking the following ingredients together in the bread machine whilst you grind the flour.

10 oz. water
1.5 tsp. sea salt
3 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. bulgar (cracked wheat)
2 tbsp. flax seeds

Now onto the fresh-milled flour – stir the following ingredients together until they fully mixed, then grind the mixture in your grain mill.

1 cup organic hard red wheat berries

2 tbsp. flax seeds
2 tbsp. uncooked barley
1½ tsp. mahlab cerry pits (optional)

The final step is to add the following ingredients to the freshly milled flour.

1½ cups unbleached, unbromated bread flour
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
3 tbsp. millet
4 tbsp. sunflower seeds
2 tbsp. vital wheat gluten
2 tsp. yeast

Dependent on your bread machine’s manufacturer, add the dry ingredients above to the bread machine in the specified order.

Make sure to always back using the ‘whole-wheat cycle’.
