Masters in Business Administration or commonly known as MBA is almost a mandatory degree one should have to find a good job. In the present market scenario, most of the students prefer to go for MBA education rather than Master’s in the specific subjects they have graduated in. Full time programs are usually of two years durations and in most of the cases students have to attend regular classes as well as lectures. In this case the students remain within the campus along with residential and fooding facilities.
Part time MBA programs can again be divided into several types like Distance MBA programs and Executive MBA programs. You can do these courses while working as well.
Most of the Distance MBA programs are online. All study materials and tests are conducted online. Students do not have to attend classes. Every student consists of an ID provided from the college through which he logs in to the online college classroom. Video classes and online chats are also arranged so that it is easier for the students to interact with their professors. Most of the notes given to the students online are either in MS word or PDF format.
Executive MBA programs are mainly one year courses. The eligibility criteria are also different. A student will only be eligible for an Executive MBA program when he has a certain amount of work experience. People who are working can also ask for assistance from the Human Resource Department of their respective organisations as regards the program fees. Infact there are companies which offer a certain amount of the course fee to the employee working there for a particular tenure. These conditions are generally mentioned in the appointment letter or the contract signed by an employee.
Some of the MBA courses may also be of one year duration or one and half including field study as well as internship programs. Most of the sector specific subjects like International Business, Retail, Finance etc. are one year MBA programs.
