Koozies or Cozys?
Remember those warm mittens covering that old pot of steaming hot tea or coffee? Those were cozys and they lent their name to the now a day Koozies, a relatively new, but highly popular term used by many, all around the world.
Koozies are basically made from Foam, Specialized foam fabric, neoprene and foam based versions of neoprene. Their primary function is to keep the drink cold and the drinker’s hands – warm. As time passed, they became increasing popular as beer koozies with many a beer drinkers buying a koozie along with their beer. Beer Koozies also came to be known as beer jackets and beer coats.
Many a companies started using koozies to increase their brand awareness. They brought out their own custom koozies with their brand logos and details. Many a time this was matched to the bottle of the drink. These Custom Koozies were and are given at throwaway prices or sometimes even free, and that is why the making cost of koozies is kept relatively low. Such activities increased the brand acceptances by several folds in the consumer markets. These Custom Koozies were, and are still, used to cover up cans, wine bottles and even bottles of cold drinks, soda pop and water!
Now days there are innumerous websites that offer a selection of personalized koozies including theme based personalization as well. Be it marriage or a bachelor party, personalized koozies save the day and make the part all the more interesting. They also make great gifts. A personalized koozie can even be used to truce a fight or can be given filled with small gifts from a brother to his sister or a boy can give hs girl a kooziecontaining a ring with the words “Will you marry me”, on the outside!
