The main problem of the youth in present time is to select such a course via which they can make their career future safe and bright. It has been cleared that nursing is the only career that kept on progressing in the recession period also. The applicants, who want to work as a licensed practical nurse in United States, needs to match with the eligibility criteria led by the board of nursing, which include- candidate must be 18 years of age, should posses graduate degree or an equivalent degree, should have moral character, must have completed the training program from an approved nursing institute and finally, must have passed the National Licensure Exam for Practical nurse.
The time period of such training classes lies between 9 and 18 months. In the training classes students are provided training for both the portion i.e. theoretical portion and practical portion. The students are taught in very effective manner by the experts and each concept of the nursing is cleared. The practical training carries various skills practice such as- treating the patient under the supervision of registered nurse, keeping keen eye on the health card of the patient, dressing the external wounds of the patients, administering pills and injections to the patients on the proper time, taking the samples of blood, urine and cough of the residents and various others skills too. The skill practice makes them perfect in handling the job work of the practical nurse. The procedure of the training classes is designed so well that the entire syllabus of the exam is covered in such classes.
After the completion of the training period students are allowed to appear in the exam. The exam format is consisted of theoretical and practical part. Usually 120questions are asked in the written exam and 5 skills are given for performance in the practical section. The time limit to complete both the section of the exam is 5 hours.
