Visualise a Refreshing and Revitalising Soak in a Whirlpool Bath

The desires of home owners to stylise their bathrooms has never been in such demand which is all down to the creation of such iconic elements such as the whirlpool bath.

If, like so many others, you are visualising a refreshing soak or a revitalising body massage within the confines of your very own whirlpool bathtub, then there are certain facts that you need to take in to consideration before buying the first spa bath you see.

You may have not realised this but the spa bath can actually be represented by two distinctive models, the Jacuzzi bath and the Whirlpool bath. Both offer similar benefits and water experiences but believe it or not they both work in different ways.

The whirlpool spa baths are the more commonly known bathtubs and work by utilising a pump and Venturi jets which produce a combination of water and air in to the tub, creating an effect known as hydro-massage. This effect can be manually controlled to produce a gentle or vigorous massage.

The Jacuzzi bathtub forms its effects through the use of air. Instead of using a pump, an air system known as a blower creates the turbulence throughout the bath from a sequence of air jets situated within the base of the bathtub. This is all controlled from a pneumatic switch which in short fires a burst of air similar to how bellows work.

The whirlpool bath offers much more control than the Jacuzzi bath with features such as multi-directional jets which have the ability to be adjusted the air and water to target specific areas of the body. In addition to the directional jets you also receive static jets situated throughout the tub that help to alleviate tension in the back and shoulders. These jets utilise the air pressure to create a soft cascading effect throughout the water, similar to bubbles in champagne and this is what enables the turbulence within the water which forms the massaging effect. Also featured within the higher range of bathtubs is an in-line heater that allows the user to keep the water to the desired temperature.

Both the whirlpool and Jacuzzi baths come with the latest cutting edge technology such as electronic touch pads and computerised programmes that work the system. For those who do not wish to opt for buying a whirlpool or Jacuzzi bath almost all baths can be fitted with an air spa or Jacuzzi system that provides a similar cascade effect throughout the water.

If you wish to experience first-hand at the wonders of these amazing systems before you buy then check out your local gym or sports centre, this will then allow you to feel how truly invigorating these technical marvels are.
