The prices of the roaming will become lower very soon and the main reason are new regulations that the EU Commission will accept.
The main goal is the prices of the roaming to reach 25 Euro cents from the current 35. The changes will become a reality in July but till then you can make cheap calls to Poland or any other country in the union with another technology called VoIP. This is a service based on a completely new and different from the current mobile technology. It uses not the network of the Telecom companies but the Internet and therefore the service is easy to use and very cheap. Other benefit is that it has almost limitless coverage as long as there is internet around you can make cheap calls easy and fast.

You should dial a special number which will connect you to the server and therefore with the global web. After that you only need to dial the number you want to call. This is everything you will need to do.
Other interesting feature of the new technology is that you do not need to use any additional devices in order to make the connection. You can simply use your mobile phone.
So, while the prices are still pretty high you can call Poland or any other country by using VoIP technology. This will save you money and will guarantee you cheap calls from almost place on Earth.
