Chevrolet Sail – The GM two-box sensation to unveil by this festive season

Chevrolet Sail was showcased this year at the Delhi Auto Expo, 2012. The hatchback version of the Chevrolet Sail is expected to hit the market before the sedan model unveils. The hatchback will be a full sized luxury, loaded with premium segment features, and priced just right for the Indian market. The sedan version will be launched once the company successfully establishes Sail’s hatchback model in the market. Chevrolet Sail was launched in China a year ago, and now is the turn of India to experience the new Chevrolet, which is scheduled to launch in second half of the year 2012.
Engine
Chevrolet Sail, as per the sources, will be launched in two Petrol variants- 1.2L and 1.4L. The 1.2L variant will feature the same petrol engine as Chevrolet Beat. The 1.4L variant will feature Chevrolet Aveo’s petrol engine. Both variants will provide with good fuel efficiency and throttle. The diesel version of Chevrolet Sail may be launched soon after the launch of Sail’s petrol version. Chevrolet Sail Mileage is good than other competitor cars.
Exterior
Chevrolet Sail carries the muscular design of almost every Chevrolet car. The front of the car has been fitted with aggressive and big headlamps. The grille and curves provide with the manly structure of the car. The rear features two cute tail lamps which don’t seem manly enough to keep the feel, but no matter what, they look really good. Chevrolet Sail is not as long as Chevrolet Cruze, but it is an entry level sedan with a comparatively small trunk. The price will justify the size of the car.
Interior
The interiors of Chevrolet Sail are simple looking, yet catchy. The all black steering wheel features Chevrolet’s logo right in the middle, but this time it is not highlighted in golden-yellow color, but it has been kept black. Chevrolet Sail will be loaded with features like audio system with USB support, A/C, power windows, power steering, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth support, etc. Sail is quite spacious on the inside, even though it doesn’t feel so from the outside. The trunk has a capacity of 375 litres, which is quite adequate.
All in all, Chevrolet Sail is expected to be a hit in the Indian market due to its low pricing and better performance and looks.
