Hatsune Miku with Vocaloid Costumes in Tokyo Concert
Whatever Vocaloid future, the virtual star has made a real difference to many fans, we’re sure. The big Hatsune Miku concert in Tokyo, announced as possibly Hatsune Miku’s last, was broadcast in cinemas in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I love Vocaloid Costumes, and I sought after the characters for a period. Some fans came from further afield to catch what could be their idol’s last gig. It’s not clear why organizers said these shows could be Hatsune Miku’s last, but if they are, she’ll be going out on a high. If so, that would be a great dispute for many faithful followers.
Depending on where you’re seated, you’ll see different Vocaloid characters with distinguished Vocaloid Costumes on the tables. You don’t get to pick where you’re seated, though. A monitor displays one of the films from Project Mirai, and music from the game is played in the background at the café which also features a menu based around Miku and Luka, and there are plans to have the menu change every so often. Up above are two examples. The Miku drink is a lemon soda with blue curacao and vanilla ice cream. The Luka drink is a strawberry au lait with vanilla ice cream. This is really awesome.
The costumes above are from the “Daughter of Evil” and “Servant of Evil” songs. The Good Smile Company went back and forth with Sega on the game’s design to make sure the Vocaloid costumes looked like their Nendoroid versions. Hatsune Miku is computer generated, based on a voice-synthesizing programme developed by the company Crypton Future Media that allows users to create their own music. But now, its extended followers overcome its basic range of just music, yeah, it expanded to cosplay, game, and even doodle.
This Vocaloid cosplay is kind of stuff that both boys and girls are into, not like girlish Lolita Cosplay Costumes, or D.Gray-Man Cosplay. Surprised by the population of Vocaloid followers, Hatsune Miku has a great success globally.
Hatsune Miku in Vocalid costume was projected onto the stage at the shows while thousands of other fans packed into 24 cinemas to watch live. “It was absolutely amazing, it’s like my heart is still dancing. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep,” 21-year-old Yuya Ofuji said as she came out of a concert. Another fan, Hazuki Koide, showed her dedication by dressing up as Hatsune Miku. “I’ve liked her for a long time and wasn’t able to come to the concert last year and watched it in a film theatre. But this year I thought that I absolutely had to make it,” Koide said.
“We thought we really had to make a real effort to come because we wouldn’t get a chance to see her in the future,” said Daniel Noll who flew in from Australia.
