The Maruti Swift desires for more, Dzire not that Swift
The new Swift and Swift Dzire although fall in different segments, but there are many factors that make them stand like rivals. The new Swift has got fabulous features with higher price tag, alluring looks and intelligently crafted outfit. The Dzire is however a sedan but has got mere length of 4 meters that benefits it from various tax duties. With smaller boot and somewhat similar dynamics with its hatchback partner, Swift Dzire has turned out to be its siblings’ competitor.
Maruti Swift Dzire Review : As far as the looks are concerned, the Swift is the better choice with clean dynamics. The compact styling with perfect rear curves makes the Swift hatchback a well developed product. However, the Swift Dzire on the other hand posses the outdated styling with increased bonnet and smaller boot size. The major advantage of Swift Dzire is its sedan segment and that too in a limited price which means that instead of buying a hatchback like Swift, you can opt to go for a Dzire sedan which in the Indian sub-continent is regarded as a status symbol.
In terms of interiors, both Swift and Swift Dzire are incomparable. In Swift, you will find black interiors with aluminum accents, whereas the Dzire has got quality dual tone mating inside. The beige and black interiors of Swift Dzire increases its interior glance. In addition, the Swift has got black steering wheel with aluminum accents, whereas, the Swift Dzire sedan posses the beige steering wheel with aluminum accents.
From the point of storage, the Swift being a hatchback has lesser space than its sedan sibling, while the Swift Dzire sedan has got proper boot space that also adds as a safety features for the rear passengers.
In terms of engine, both Swift hatchback and Swift Dzire sedan have got same 1.2 liter petrol engine that churns maximum power of 84 bhp and another 1.3 liter turbo-diesel engine that produces maximum power of 75 bhp. Hence, it would not be wrong to say that the performance of both these cars is almost same, though two of them possess different segment tags.
Price is another factor that makes both these brothers rivals of each other. Swift hatchback is available in the price tag range of Rs. 4.44 lakh to Rs. 6.76 lakh and its sedan sibling, Swift Dzire is available in the range of Rs. 4.88 lakh to Rs. 7.22 lakh.
The conclusion is that though both have different tags of hatchback and sedan, but in reality they are somewhat similar to each other and thus both might eat each others’ sales.
