SSC mathematics students may get 7 grace marks
Students, who attempted this year’s SSC mathematics paper in the public exam conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education may stand to get as many as seven grace marks depending on whether they answered a particular question.
There were two questions in the Maths paper for Std X this year. While one question was said to be out of the syllabus, the other had a printing mistake. Teachers have raised these issues with the board which has promised to look into the matter.
“Our team will decide whether the students will get more marks or not. Some teachers are saying the question is out of the syllabus, others are saying it is within the syllabus. We’ve taken a decision to ensure that the students’ interest is taken care of,” Secretary of the Goa Board.
