New Mitsubishi Pajero launched at Rs 23.53 lakh
Indian SUV market is on the brink of a major revolution and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launch seems to have triggered the same. This day will be remembered in the history of SUVs in India as a day when SUVs have started showering in India. The sizzling hot Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is powered by 175 PS 4000 Nm 2.5 L diesel engine making the power packed car even more powerful than the Pajero. With the new Pajero features and more powerful engine, Pajero Sport now has become the true competitor of Toyota Fortuner. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launch price is Rs 23.53 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The new car is offered in only one variant that comes with six body colour choices.
The Pajero Sport is powered by the diesel engine that has a common rail turbodiesel in place that gives the SUV the power when it needs it. However denying the fact the SUVs are fuel guzzlers, the Pajero Sport is expected to return a mileage of 12 kmpl. Experts believe that the Pajero Sport launch was scheduled earlier but due to some reasons which were probably the natural disturbances in Japan and the meek sales trend in the country as well as other factors postponed it. Whereas it was long time and the Pajero model wanted a revision. Though there was the entry of Mitsubishi Montero lately which is in fact the improved generation of Pajero SUV?
The Pajero Sport has a 4WD driveline with All Wheel Control Super Select option and five speed gearbox. This feature enables the SUV to have better grip over slippery surfaces as well. The Pajero Sport can seat seven people in three rows. The car is equipped with modern day technology such as Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce distribution. The new Mitsubishi SUV in India also comes with two airbags at the front giving safety to the driver and the co passenger. Apart from these safety guards, the new vehicle has leather covered seats, gear knob and steering wheel, MP3 player, automatic climate control; display board that shows various car related information like fuel, outside temperature, audio; split seats in second and third row, self levelling projector headlamps, rear wash wiper-defogger & rear parking sensors, etc.
Initially, the Pajero Sport will take the Completely Built up Unit route and later as the demand increases, Mitsubishi may think of the other economical route.
