New Mahindra Xylo launched at Rs 7.37 lakh, competes with new upgraded vehicles
Indian utility major Mahindra & Mahindra’s uncovering of the New Mahindra Xylo surely sets off the Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) segment on fire. As the upgraded vehicle boasts all the new features and aspects that not only cover the current competition, but also sets a new benchmark for the existing and upcoming vehicles in the utility division. The new Xylo base variant has been priced at Rs 7.37 lakh and the top end goes up to Rs 10.25 lakh. Now the 2012 Mahindra Xylo features that can even challenge any Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the Indian auto market. The New Xylo comes with an all new front and rear that appears distinct in the MUV crowd along with some more innovative and class leading features inside the cabin.

New Toyota Innova
Toyota Motors launched its face-lifted leading vehicle at the 2012 Expo. The New Toyota Innova has added a grand style to the vehicle in its exteriors. The new curvy wrap-around headlamps and chrome finished front grille impresses you on first sight along with the some flowing cues all over the body are marvelous. In the interiors, the height of cabin is now increased and there are many advanced features along with enough safety features. Here the missing feature is the 4X4 system, which can take New Xylo ahead of Innova.
New Chevrolet Tavera Neo3
The New Chevrolet Tavera Neo3 has got life to its exteriors and interiors with the upgrade. It has got new broader headlamps and clear tail lamps along with a split-grille that has bigger ‘Chevy’ badge. Inside the cabin it has got a refined dashboard together with a new steering wheel. But the fabric quality on the seats seems a bit substandard, while the lack of adequate active and passive safety feature pushes the 2012 Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 a step-down when compared to New Xylo or even the existing one.
Tata Sumo Grande
New Sumo Grande has got loads of chrome on the exterior part that include chrome front grille, chrome inserted rub rails and chrome lined door handles along with new shade of glossy grey finish and some amazing body graphics to provide it a masculine and up market look. The interior are very simple with traditional instrument panel together with average looking seat fabric. The safety features do not include ABS or air bags, but there are some basic security features offered in the vehicle. It won’t be tough for New Xylo to beat Tata Grande in all the aspects.
Nissan Evalia
The Nissan Evalia MUV that was unveiled at the Delhi Expo has got everything or even more that is required to get qualified for a premium MUV. This vehicle is the most promising in the upcoming vehicle category and has sent the automakers of utility segment in trauma just after its uncovering. It has got the tempting looks along with one of its kind interiors that has modern day technology combined with big space and enough comfort for as many as 8-9 occupants.
Tata Safari Storme
The New Xylo can even take on with the upcoming Tata Safari Storme SUV, if it is offered with a 4X4 mechanism of a true off-roader. On the appearance front, the 2012 Mahindra Xylo will definitely provide this old horse a decent fight along with similar interior features that are expected to be a part New Safari. The safety features will be more or less the same in the two vehicles.
