The basic features of Exchange System Manager
Exchange Server by Microsoft is a very effective communication mechanism for PC, mobile phone & web browser. Managing the Exchange Server remains the foremost priority of every IT Manager. But Exchange Management is a very cumbersome & time taking task. For managing the Server a user can refer the Exchange System Manager or Exchange System Manager.msc MMC console. To an extent this tool can relieve the managers from their hectic Exchange Management roles.

The Exchange System Manager (Exchange System Manager.msc) delivers a consistent administrative experience to the administrators while performing the Exchange Server operations.
This MMC tool includes various containers with administrative features for managing the Exchange Server. These containers are held by the root organization node in the top node of the tree. These are some operations which are possible with these containers.
Global Settings: Global settings are the container commands for configuring the system-wide settings. These settings can be implemented over all the servers and recipients in an Exchange organization.
Recipients: With Recipients container the IT Administrator can manage objects and settings for recipients in an organizational network. This feature helps in handling recipient update services, address lists, recipient update services, address lists, offline address lists, recipient policies, mailbox management settings, details templates and address templates.
Administrative Groups: The Administrative Groups container features controls to manage the Administrative Groups. Each group is a cluster of AD objects combined for permissions management. The administrative group container includes policies, routing groups, public folder hierarchies and servers. This container appears if the IT administrator has created Admin groups in the organization.
Servers: This container stores the server specific configuration objects like queues, protocols, mailbox stores and public folder stores information.
System Policies: This container holds the policies for system’s configuration settings. The policies are a collection of configuration settings implemented over Exchange objects in Active Directory.
Routing Groups: The Routing Groups explains the physical network topology of Exchange servers. The Exchange mail system includes more servers running Exchange. In some of the organizations these servers are integrated with reliable, permanent connections. The Server groups shall be organized in the same routing. This container appears if the IT Administrator has created Admin groups in the organization.
Folders :
This container shows a public folder hierarchy. A public folder stores the data that can be shared with designated users in an organization. It holds diversified information like simple messages to multimedia clips and custom forms.
Tools :
With this container an Administrator can supervise his Exchange organization & messages and recover mailboxes.
