Kriser’s Pet Food to Open 3 Denver-area Stores; Polished Tavern Debuts on Larimer
Brad Kriser is bringing his specialty pet food store back home to the Denver area, opening the first of three planned locations.
Kriser’s at the Belleview Square Shopping Center, 4910 S. Yosemite St., in Greenwood Village, opens April 21.
“The opportunity to open our first Kriser’s store in Denver is a coming home party for me,” said Kriser, founder and CEO, in a statement. “I was introduced to all-natural pet food in 1999 while living in Boulder, and it was a discovery that ultimately helped shape my passion and vision for Kriser’s stores. The Denver community celebrates a healthy lifestyle and we are excited to bring that same opportunity to the pets that live, grow and thrive here.”
The retail store specializes in all-natural pet food and supplies, and offers in-store services such as grooming, expert classes and even pet birthday parties.
Pet owners can find popular food brands including wet, dry and raw items from brands such as Canidae, Evo, California Natural, Orijen, Wellness, Fromm, Earthborn, Nature’s Variety, Merrick, Primal, Stella & Chewy’s and more.
The pet industry continues to grow at a rapid pace, reaching an estimated $51 billion in spending in 2011, according to Kriser.
“Pets are part of the family and a source of companionship and play for their owners, and we strive to reflect that bond and enjoyment in our stores,” he said in a statement. “Our staff takes the job of educating and informing pet owners very seriously, but we don’t forget to have fun along the way and create an environment that people want to come back to again and again.”
The grand opening festivities for the Greenwood Village location runs from noon until 5 p.m. on April 21, with a Kriser’s pet “Karnival” with a photo booth, radio remote with Denver radio station, KALC-Alice 105.9 FM, giveaways, treats and prizes for pet lovers, and weekend-long grand opening discounts.
