The Apple IPhone Craze
Apple is the most prosperous company in the world. The sales of the company’s products are surpassing even the greatest expectation – this trend has been proved by the results from the last 3 months.
The latest showed that from January until March more than 35 million Apple’s iPhoes have been sold. These numbers are double the sales of the same three-month period last year. This makes some people to start talking about the “Apple Craze”. The iPhone sales are 58 % of the main Apple income. 3 years ago that same share was only 27%.
Latest data proved that the real income for the company during the above-mentioned period have reached $11.6 billion or $12.30 for a single stock. This is roughly double the $6 billion income from the last year’s beginning.
The main reason for this craze is the huge market of the Far East and specifically China. When we talk about China, we mean “Greater China” – the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The sales are triple compared to the last year. Today the sales in the Far East consist 20% of the American company’s overall income.
Despite all these booming results, the iPad results are more modest than expected. There are 11.8 million tablets sold for the first three months, which is two and a half times more than the last tear’s beginning. One explanation for the humble start of the iPad is the lack of quality support for the new tablet. The Macs are also not doing an impressive progress. The 4 million Macs sold for the last three months are only 7 % more than the last year’s same period.
Among the many appealing features of the iPhones is the ability to make international calls through apps. In fact, customers could avoid the mobile operators and make calls using alternative methods.
