LEGO History
The Lego Group commenced in the workshop associated with Ole Kirk Christiansen (7 April 1891 – 11 March 1958), a wood worker from Billund, Denmark, who started out making wooden gadgets in 1932. In 1934, his company came to be named lego 4440, from the Danish phrase calf godt, which means “play-well”. It enhanced to producing plastic-type toys in The late 1940s.
