Quick Ways to Get Rid of Stains on your Carpets
I am a very busy person. My job comes before my family, friends and home. By having such a tough daily agenda I rarely have the time to turn my attention at what needs to be done at home. And there’s nothing worst than a neglected household. Recently I bought a magnificent white carpet for my bedroom but all it seems to do is collect dust and dirt. I tried to vacuum it once in a while but it doesn’t seem to do the job, plus I spilled some liquids on it and I was afraid that I might have ruined it permanently.
Lucky for me I found a great company that provides carpet cleaning in London and they’ve done a great job. As it turns out if you have stained your carpet with wine, coffee or anything else that might leave a stain, it is very important to act immediately. If the stain stays for too long it might permanently settle into the fibers of the carpet and damage it in a permanent way. The people who work in the company gave me some great tips on carpet cleaning. I never thought that some of the things that I could use for stains on my carpets were right under my nose.
For instance, almost every stain can be removed with dish-washing soap and water. For white carpets (just like mine) it is preferable to use bleach. The bleach is a really effective sanitizer and it will definitely prolong the life of the carpet making it look just like new. If you’re having wine and you spill a glass you should pour some club soda on the affected area or cover it with salt. After the salt absorbs the wine you can vacuum it. If the stain is still there, rub it out with some detergent and water.
From now on I am prepared for any kind of situation. And I have everything I need at home so am not that worried any more. And even if I don’t have the time to do it myself I know who to call. Actually in most cases that will be my only way to go because like I said I am a very busy person and cleaning carpets doesn’t seem like a pleasant thing to do.
