What a Badoo user wants
Badoo the most popular USA dating site did a survey amongst its users to find out what they would like to get out of their Badoo experience. The answer is “to make new friends”, as the latest survey of over 41 thousand users found out. Badoo asked people in 17 different countries what they used Badoo for, and nearly 70% listed chatting online as their main activity.
And on the subject of chats, it seems that women are even chattier than the men: While 50% of male European users chat on Badoo every day, 60% of women use the feature daily.
Around the world, finding new friends was a more popular option than dating or finding a relationship for Badooers, and over 50% said they added someone who they met on Badoo as a friend on Facebook. But it’s not all about online friendships: Over half of Badoo’s users met up with someone or made a friend in real life after chatting with them on Badoo. Badoo users also engage with the product over the long term, with over one third saying they have been using the service for over a year.
But the prize for the most sociable region in the globe, perhaps unsurprisingly, goes to Latin America. Latam is the most active place for Badoo in terms of user interaction, and after Badoo’s recent trip to Brazil to keynote at Social Media Week, it is clear that Badoo’s chatty, fun and flirty service really strikes a chord with people in that part of the world.
