Toyota Fortuner vs Ford Endeavour vs Mitsubishi Pajero

The SUV has received an overwhelming response and is garnering good number of sales every month. While, the Ford Endeavour has a close resemblance to Ford Explorer that runs on American roads. The exteriors of Endeavour include new headlamps, chrome radiator grille, silver roof rails and a lot more innovative features making the SUV more demanding. However, the Mitsubishi Pajero SUV which is quite popular amongst the Indian car buyers is one of the best designed SUVs in India. Some of the distinctive features that make a delightful treat for the customers are front and rear skid plate, chromed door and handles, chromed windshield etc. All these features render a perfect look to the SUV.
Inside the car, Fortuner comes with a high quality upholstery with impeccable fit and polish. Interiors of Fortuner have a lot of similarity with its sibling Innova MPV. Under the hood, Fortuner is outfitted to a sturdy 3.0 litre 16 valve DOHC, D 4D diesel engine that engenders a monstrous 171 PS of power at 3600 Rpm and a maximum torque of 343 Nm at 1400-3400 Rpm.Endeavour on the other hand is loaded with a 2.5 litre diesel and 3.0 litre diesel powerplant. The former can pip out 143 PS of power at 3500 Rpm and the latter can yield 156 PS of powerat 3200 Rpm along with 380 Nm of torque at 2500 Rpm. Mitsubishi Pajero BS IV variant is decked with a 2.8 litre 8 valave SOHC diesel engine that pumps out 108.7 Ps at 4000 Rpm and 275 Nm of torque at 2000 Rpm. New Fortuner runs 8 kmpl in city and 11 kmpl on highway. Endeavor’s 2.3 litre engine returns same mileage as Fortuner while the 3.0 liter diesel engine runs 9 kmpl in city and 12 kmpl on highway. Pajero scores the least in this segment with a fuel economy of 7 kmplin city and 10 kmpl on highway.
Now lets us see the price of all the three SUVs beginning with the new Toyota Fortuner price which stands between Rs 19.99 to Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom price). Ford’s Endeavour comes with a price tag of Rs 17.28 and goes up to Rs 20.41 lakh (ex-showroom price). Mitsubishi Pajero Sport BSIV however is priced at Rs 21.17 lakh (ex-showroom price).
