What difference is there between the Intel Processor and the AMD Processor
Gaming fans never mind spending hundreds of dollar on their computer gaming components, but do they worry as much when it comes to gaming cases? A gamer on a budget will not want to go for too expensive a case because he would most probably spend all his spare cash on what he considers more important. But it’s not difficult for someone with a small budget to purchase a suitable gaming case that is also in vogue and comes with the required features. Computer gaming cases are also known as a chassis and plays an important role in the performance of a gaming PC.
When buying gaming cases, online, it must be ensured that the computer hardware fits snugly inside the case as otherwise it would have to be returned incurring extra expenses. Most buyers tend to forget the size of the computer and goes only for what is visually pleasing which should not be the case although looks do matter to a certain extent. This problem can be averted by choosing a size in keeping with the motherboard of the PC which has the same sizing scheme i.e. micro, medium and full. The main difference between gaming PCs and your basic home computer is that of additional cooling features being installed in the former to keep the machine from over heating when heavy applications such as 3D and videos are in operation.
A gamer has to make a careful decision when choosing the processor most suitable to play 3D games because of the demand such games places on the processor. It should be one that is not only capable of handling high levels of graphics but also has the ability to offer multitasking at a greater level. The two leading manufacturers of computer processors today are Intel and AMD with both enjoying a high degree of popularity and both sides ever ready to defend their favorite processor as the best in the market today.
The performance of both the Intel processor and AMD processor depends on the generation of power and the main tasks the computer is used for. Long before Intel came out with their Core 2 Duo processor, AMD was king of the gaming niche. But this changed very quickly when Intel started offering high performance stable processors at very affordable rates to their customers and is currently in the number one position as far as processors go. While prices between the Intel processor and AMD processor keep fluctuating, the latter is more expensive than the Intel at present although this could change at any time in the future.
All these however means nothing if you don’t have a proper power supply to your computer. We sometimes tend to take certain things like a power supply for granted and wonder why the machine doesn’t start or why it suddenly blacked out because our minds are constantly focused only on the internal workings. Many such problems however occur due to a fluctuating power supply which can create a lot of chaos in your machine if you don’t take remedial action immediately. Keep in mind that the power supply to your computer should be compatible to that of the motherboard. If you’re considering going for a modular power supply, make sure you buy only a reputed brand because you definitely don’t want to put your computer at risk.
