Robert E Wright – his life on the spotlight
Robert E Wright is the Nef Family Chair of Political Economy in Augustana College’s Division of Social Sciences. He also works for the Museum of American Finance. He has authored and coauthored a number of books, and has also written dozens of articles, reviews, and commentaries for a number of well-known publications. Wright has also appeared on a number of TV and Radio shows where he has continued to attract attention due to his insights into the financial status of the country. He has also been quoted on numerous occasions by a number of leading newspapers in the country.
Wright is making a name for himself both in mainstream media as well as in the blogosphere. His ability to explain complex financial issues, giving a background from the economic and financial history of the country is helping him to gain many fans. His background in history has given him a unique perspective as he is able to relate past events to the present situation, and he traces the current debt crises to decisions made years before. Wright has a very interesting writing prose that is both serious and humorous and he is able to keep his readers interested in what he has to say.
After the 2008 financial crisis, Robert E Wright‘s profile seemed to increase greatly as people realized the importance of research and finding out what leads to the formation of policies. He makes the adage ‘you have to understand where you are coming from to know where you are going very appropriate. It is clear that if people took the time to learn about the country’s financial history, they would be able to learn how to deal with current issues that plague the economy. Wright considers himself a libertarian, and while there is no precise definition of what the term implies, most experts agree that libertarians stress on the importance of liberty, freedom and voluntary association. They advocate for a society with a small government that does not wield as much influence as most of the governments in today’s society. Some claim that they would prefer no government at all. Alexander Hamilton is his hero and seems to have influenced a lot of his thinking. He has apparently named one of his sons after his hero.
