Tata Safari Storme launch deferred, could be launched during the festive season
The home grown auto maker, Tata Motors which is also the largest car ,maker of South Asia, is a popular brand in India known for offering quality cars in the Indian car market. Tata Motors’ SUV, Tata Safari has been present in the market for a long time now and is still doing pretty well. The new avatar of the SUV christened, Tata Safari Storme was earlier expected to be launched in the domestic market by July 2012. But fresh report suggest that the company has now skewed its plan to launch Safari Storme in July, the company however has not hinted at another launch date, but it seems that it could be launched in India by the festive season of Dussherah or Diwali. Tata Safari Storme SUV was revealed at the 11th Auto Expo held in New Delhi at the Pragati Maidan in the month of January 2012. By the end of third quarter or by the beginning of fourth quarter, the customers waiting to buy this SUV would be able to finally fulfil their wish. The reason behind the delay of Tata Safari Storme launch is apparently the in-house preparations being done for the model; the preparations are still under development.
According to the company officials, the company wants the make sure that the executives are trained perfectly so that they are able to solve all kinds of queries of the customers. The SUV is an extremely popular model from Tata Motors clan and the new version of the SUV also is a highly anticipated car from Tata, therefore looking at the immense popularity the company is waiting for the right time to launch the new and improved version of the SUV in India. Tata Safari Storme will fill the slot between the current generation Tata Safari and Tata Aria. However the launch of Storme does not mean that teh current generation Safari will not be on sale, along with the new Safari Strome, current generation safari will also be on sale. Tata Safari price has still been kept under the wraps, however the expected price could fall in the range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. The low price tag is going to work in the favour of Safari Strome and will give a tough fight to its rivals like Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Duster which is set to be launched in India on July 12th, 2012.
In comparison to the current generation Tata Safari, Storme is longer and slightly lighter. The new version of Safari is also expected to be equipped with many new and innovative features which will add to the comfort and convenience factor of the SUV. The engineers are vouching that the SUV is flawless in terms of looks, technology, features, engine etc.
The company has worked hard on the exteriors of the SUV which now looks more chic and plush. The outer appearance of the SUV has been changed a lot rendering it look of an urban vehicle. Tata has revamped the front fascia which now looks sleeker and has smooth curves. Tata Safari Strome will also flaunt new headlight cluster with mightier xenon lights and clear lens projectors. The presence of new body coloured bumpers and new fog lamps will better the appearance of the SUV, it will definitely turn heads while running on the raod. The front grille is likely to be more appealing and will make the SUv look conspicuous among its competitors.
Safari Storme is also expected to get a new pair of suspension which will further enhance the driving experience. Along with its, the SUV will come packed with new features and it will carry a lucrative price tag making it a remunerative offer for the Indian buyers. However, there is still no clarity on the launch of this SUV, let us just wait and see what Tata has in store for this SUV.
