Relieving Spinal Stress

Yoga plays important role in making our body healthy and strong. Though almost every part of our body dealt with stress out of these spinal dealt more stress. So if our spinal column get stress and stiffed it can cause hazard in our daily routine, therefore stress and stiffness can be cured with yoga. Thought there are number of asana in yoga that can help us relieving pain, stress and stiffness of our spine, out of these asana Matsyendrasana is consider the most effective of all asana. Matsyendrasana, the half spinal twist, is ninth in the sequence of 12 basic postures in a big way. Though the most important is that the entire length of the spine receives a lateral twist in both directions first to left and then to the right direction.
Know let’s understand how to perform Matsyendrasana:-

First of all sit on the floor with both your legs stretched out in front, with some distance between both legs. After that fold your left leg at the knee and then bring the knee near your chest. Thereby keeping your right leg on the floor, fold it at the knee. With the help of hands, then draw the right heel along the floor towards the perineum and fix it there. For preventing the shifting of the heel from the position turn the right toe outward. After that without moving the left buttock, take the left ankle near the right knee with the help of your right hand. After that place your left sole on the floor on the outer side of the right knee by doing this your left knee will come over the right side near the armpit .while doing this make sure that you give support to the right foot with your left hand. After this pressing the left knee using the left hand try bring it towards the right armpit. Simultaneously, take the right armpit toward the left side. After going through given angles now pressing you left knee gently into the right armpit straighten your right hand. Hook your left big toe with the right hand index finger. Then turn your face to the left by keeping your hand on the floor near the right buttock. After that twist the upper portion of your body to the left side. While performing this make sure that you breathe normally performing this asana.
