Quickly wipe the surfaces after that light a candle or place fresh flowers in a vase. Potpourri and scented soaps also help in keeping the room smelling refreshing even after heavy traffic. If there is snow or ice, make sure they are removed so as to prevent accidents. It is recommended to turn the lights on if your friends or relatives are coming at night. Should your guests go to your house throughout the day open the window blinds or curtains so that from the outside the house looks more welcoming, the inside will also get more light.
If you have a moment, in a pot add water, cinnamon and cloves. Simmer the ingredients until the house smells nice and fresh.
