Experience Monash Adventure Park in the South Australian Riverland

The South Australian Riverland has many great points of interest that you could head to, but the one that always springs to mind when bringing the children is undoubtedly Monash Adventure Playground. It is undoubtedly one of the most popular sites for people to visit whilst in the region.

Based in the town of Monash in the South Australian Riverland, it had been developed by Grant Telfer and his company, Grant Engineering, but then shut down due to issues of safety. In 1996 the adventure playground reopened with safer amenities and superior picnic areas for families to take pleasure from.

The most terrific thing about the Monash Adventure Playground is that it is completely free. The maze could keep the adults and kids entertained for a long time, with multiple methods for getting out and including some lookout towers, hidden doors and high walls .When you are getting out from the maze get ready to enjoy an icecream or other sweets in the paddleboat kiosk that is central within the part.

The landscape all through the park is breathtaking, which has a stunning creek running throughout the park, and bright green grass covering almost all of the area. A tremendous water display is also a central focal point in the area. You will find free barbecues to be used for public usage.

You’ll find big leaning towers that you can climb through with rope bridges as well as a large swing that can be used.

The playground also caters for young people of different sizes including the adults. You may always findnumerous adults in the park climbing on the equipment and having a go at the equipment. Another highlight is an area for toddlers including slides, a bridge and also a child sized sand pit with diggers provided.

There’s also a basketball area which includes goals for various age brackets, and there is also a lots of room to kick a football around the park without interfering with others lovely day.

The wheelchair access is extremely good in the recreation area, and allows you to get around. The park opens at 10am daily and closes at 5pm, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy themselves within the park.

When you finally choose to leave after the great day out, you are able to head across the street and get some chocolates from the beautiful chocolate shop. A cosy little shop with a great variety of handmade chocolates that are made right before you.
