The civilization of the Mayans was more advanced in comparison to the Europeans in the 16th century. However that had been extinct before the 15th century much ahead the Europeans actually reached America. Hieroglyphic stairway that includes 64 steps was digitalized by the use of 3D scanning. The monuments that were scanned had been shared with numerous researchers and people around the planet so that they could get an insight into these inscriptions.
The monuments have always been scanned according to sections and depending on their dimensions. Then they are combined together using the computer by the help of a measurement data so which had been fitted in perfectly. Each of these monuments was scanned four times so that one can acquire four different resolutions of the same monument. After being scanned the resolutions are saved in various formats using different software. Tools with lower resolutions are used to share online and others are made available for public use.
There are many monuments that are kept protected and limited people can have a look at them. The use of correct software helps in enhancing the monuments which makes them clearer than what they would have been if 3D scanning was not there. The combination of 3D scanning and 3D printing makes it possible to create similar models of those monuments. These help in properly studying and using inside the museums.
