Comparing the Techko LF282N and Martin Yale P6200 Paper Folders

Folding your documents can take up a lot of time and really interrupt the flow of your workday. You can save time by using a paper folder. Two machines that are great for desktop use are the Techko LF282N and Martin Yale P6200. We recently took a look at both of these products to see which one – if any – has the advantage. Here’s what we found out….

The Techko LF282N:

  • This machine can process paper that’s up to 8.5” x 11”, which is letter-sized. The maximum paper weight this device can handle is 20 lb. and it can only process non-glossy sheets.
  • The LF282N can fold up to 5 sheets at a time. (The unit is equipped with a page counter.) The only fold it’s capable of doing is the letter fold, so it’s probably not a good choice if you want a machine that can do fancier folds.
  • This device needs to be fed manually, which will slow down the folding process somewhat. However, using the LF282N is still faster than preparing your documents for mailing by hand.
  • The LF282 is great for desktop use because it approximately 8” (depth) x 16” (weight) x 8” (height). You should be able to store it among your other offices devices without any problems.
  • Finally, this product comes with a one-year warranty.

The Martin Yale P6200:

  • The P6200 can fold as many as 30 documents per minute or 3 sheets at a time. The maximum size of paper it can handle is letter-sized (8.5” x 11”). It can also handle stapled documents.
  • Like the Techko LF282N, this machine can do the letter fold so you’ll be able to prepare your documents for mailing. When you use this device, your work will be ready to be placed in standard #10 envelopes.
  • This machine is very compact thanks to its approximate measurements of 13” (width) x 6” (height) x 6” (depth). It’s a bit smaller than the LF282N, so it might be a better choice if your workspace is rather cramped.
  • The P6200 isn’t likely to jam up on you. However, if it does, you’ll find that resolving the problem is pretty easy.
  • This product is backed by a one-year warranty.

On the surface, the Techko LF282N and Martin Yale P6200 paper folders are very similar. They’re both designed for desktop use and they can help you prepare your document for mailing in a relatively short amount of time. Both are great products, but the P6200 has the advantage because it’s slightly smaller and it offers mostly jam-free operating. It also looks a bit more sleek, so it’s a great choice if you want a device that looks modern. Plus, it can handle stapled documents which is very convenient and will help you save even more time. The P6200 is a great folder, so be sure to take a look at it today if you want a machine that can help you save time during your busy workday.
