An Unusual Carpet Cleaning Story in Sparks Nevada
One of our customers who lives in Sparks Nevada called us to have us come clean his carpet. We have to tell you this story because it is a bit unusual.
In 2005 they won a vacation to Disney World and while they were gone got a call from the police department asking who was in the house. This was a rather shocking thing to be awakened early one morning while on vacation. Apparently, a group of friends of one of their teenage daughters decided to have a party in their home while they were away. And boy did they have a party.
Fortunately the owners parents cleaned up the house before they arrived home from their vacation. But there were all kinds of things that were in really bad shape. The kids used a lot of alcohol and spilled it all over the carpet.
Our customers we’ll call “the Smiths,” called one of the big name carpet cleaning companies to come clean up the stains. A judge had ruled that one of the teenagers, since he was 18 years old, was in charge of paying for the repairs. This carpet cleaning company came in and clean the entire house for cost around $500.
But they could not get the stains out. This greatly discouraged the Smith’s as this was a very well-known carpet cleaning company and these giant dark stains were in several places in their living room.
Then they actually tried to rent a steam cleaning system from a local hardware store and spent the entire day trying to get out the stains. Unfortunately, they used too much of the soap that the hardware store had recommended and within a couple of weeks the carpet looked worse than ever as it was very dark.
Now they were at a complete loss as to what to do.
One of their friends told them about us at A-Chem Brite carpet cleaning and they called us. We had a conversation about the incident and we told them that we thought we could clean it out. They were very skeptical because we weren’t a big well-known name like the one who done it before. We promised them that we could solve their problem so they decided to give us a try.
We cleaned up their entire house in just under 2 hours and only charge them $300. But the best part was, we got all the stains out. Needless to say, they were ecstatic. They told all their friends and even posted stories about it on Facebook. We’ve had some happy customers before, but these probably take the cake.
Not only did we get out the alcohol stains, we even got out some paint embedded in the carpet when they were repainting one of the kids rooms upstairs. They had no hope of ever getting that out, but when we did, that made them even more elated at our experience.
Needless to say, we’re pretty sure we have a customer for life because they called us back a year later to clean a couple of areas that had gotten some heavy traffic. They were just as excited this time as they were the first.
