Decorate Your Classroom Or Bedroom With Magnetic Paint
As a teacher wouldn’t it be nice to be able to use your blackboard as a place to display your class’s work without having to resort to using tape and to be able to change the display easily. If you have your blackboard painted with a layer of magnetic paint before the chalkboard paint is applied you can use magnets to hold everything up whenever you need to.
Magnetic paint is exactly what is sounds like it is, the paint itself has magnetic properties that allow you to use other magnets to hold any picture or piece of paper in place with another magnet. Now you can display your class’s work and change it every time they turn in new work. This can make it so much easier to place the paper or picture of the day up for the whole class to see. If you are working with a big map in geography or history, now you will be able to hang it up without having to use tape or nails.
Magnetic paint is perfect for the kid’s rooms where the pictures change all the time. You will no longer need to use bulletin boards or put up with push pin holes in the walls. All you need to do is coat an area with a layer of magnetic paint then paint over it with your final color coat. Once it is all dry you can hang pictures, posters and photographs anywhere that is covered by the magnetic paint using a magnet to hold them in place.
Imagine how much fun your teenagers can have changing their posters around and “redecorating” their room whenever a new poster comes out or they change boyfriends. It used to be a hassle pulling out nails and pushpins that left behind holes that need to be filled or tape that pulled the paint off the walls leaving behind unsightly messes. By using magnetic paint and magnetic holders you can completely eliminate the problem altogether.
The magnetic paint is simple to apply, all you need to do is roll it on like any other paint; it comes in a powder form that can be mixed with your choice of primer. The biggest reason it is shipped as a powder is to keep the costs down. It costs a lot of money to ship liquid paint as it is considered hazardous cargo. The powder additive however is perfectly safe and can be shipped anywhere for a reasonable cost.
Once you receive your magnetic paint powder all you have to do is mix it with the primer you are going to use to paint the room and apply it using a heavy ¼” foam roller. You will need to apply three or four coats to make sure that you get at thick enough layer for the magnets to stick to. Once the primer dries all that is left is to paint over it with your color of choice and use magnets to hold everything to the wall.
When you are ready to create a magnetic wall or blackboard to hang all of your pictures on you need to order your magnetic paint from LYT. Their magnetic paint is non toxic and durable and cost much less than most other brands.
