Crimes against humanity

The war in Southern Sudan, the Darfur area has caused a lot of suffering to the people of Southern Sudan. The war has seen many people move out of their homes to refugee camps and at times they are attacked in their refugee camps. International organizations have responded by providing basic human needs and the government of Sudan has resisted in the past peace keeping forces in the Area. The strategy and tactics used by the perpetrators of crimes of crimes against human beings in Darfur area are unacceptable. People are killed with no care by the support of the government. The intention of attackers on civilian of Darfur is to kill them. Although they are not using weapons of mass destruction but the killing power, they have shown should be branded as those of terrorists.
International governments and organizations should take serious actions against the ‘Njanjawit’ by cutting the supply of necessary equipment and goods to ensure that this group is disabled and is unable to continue fighting. The immediate cause for the war in Darfur area should be analyzed and a solution be found. For example the people of Darfur believe that the Government of Khartoum has been neglecting them for a long period. Therefore they have arisen against the government and the government responded with the ‘Njanjawit’ tactic.
International organizations should first begin by providing all necessary resources required by the people of Darfur. Democracy should be demanded in Sudan and it should be sponsored by International community. Without democracy there will be no equal distribution of resources between the three areas of Sudan, the North, South and Darfur. Once there is democracy in Sudan, and each group is satisfied then there will be peace in that country.
According to the United Nations the militia of Darfur is sponsored by the government and they use other unorthodox means in accumulating wealth which helps them to continue fighting in the area. War in southern Sudan will just be a mere temporary solution, a long time solution is negotiation and this negotiation should be sponsored by international organizations.
Lastly the strategy that was used in quelling the Rwanda, Kosovo, and Burundi wars I believe should be employed in this country in quelling the war. If it fails sanctions to pressurize the country to stop hostility against humanity should be employed. If hostility continues in Darfur then the question of a military action should come in. But as a military action is taken it should be remembered that war is a threat is humanity irrespective who is engaged in it. It is nice to see the United Nations Boss Ban-ki-Moon to engage the world leaders to accept this fact of aggression as a danger to humanity regardless who is involved.
