Sliding Door – This is slowly becoming popular and much sought after when it comes to interior door and closet doors. They generally run sideways on a overhead track. Sliding doors have gained huge popularity in terms of interior door because of the amount of space that they save. They serve best where there is a crunch of space as they do not need any inward or outward movement. These doors are made from a variety of material including wood, glass and metal.

Pocket Doors – They are a type of sliding door which is gaining extreme popularity in modern homes. As the name suggest they slip into a pocket on the wall saving a lot of space serving as an ideal solution for small and compact urban homes. They are mostly made of wood but many designers are experimenting with other materials when it comes to pocket doors.

Interior doors should be bought and installed after a lot of planning. Personal taste, size of the room and budget should be kept in mind while choosing interior door. After all it is not everyday that a person installs interior doors at home.
